This thread is about those who Marilyn Manson might have called "The Beautiful People", and since about age 12 at different phases I have either been labeled fat or wondered if I could ever compare to the jock/male model guys who seem to get the girls they want to pursue. In particular, I am still struggling to lose the remaining weight and have recently become aware that some celebrities have had liposuction to get to where they are physically, not just our typical stereotype of working out/dieting/taking drugs or supplements to get there. Does anyone know how common it is for celebrities to have had liposuction and other weight reduction surgeries done?
It really makes obsolete the fear that I would have to work out most days of the week and strictly watch calories, if the number on the scale does not matter as much as the contour they could provide through operation(s). I am not as wealthy as celebrities, who likely can afford all the operations they need to look attractive, but I have just increased my cash flow enough that I might be able to afford something. The way that I see it, everyone is raised to look like football jocks or pro bodybuilders (if male) or to look like glamour models and porn stars of the type that VEF features (if female). We are taught this in secondary education in addition to reaching sexual functioning around middle school age.
Yet the idea that everyone must be very athletic and keep their body under tight control might be exaggerated, if doctors can intervene in your favor. And I never understood this until the 2010s, in the age of the Internet, where all the resources about weight loss surgeries are available and I happen to be overweight still. Has anyone out there ever done this for themselves?
